On Saturday, March 21, 2010, New Jersey Governor Philip Murphy issued two new Executive Order in a continued effort to respond to the Coronavirus pandemic. EO No. 107 issues a “stay at home” order commanding all resident to stay at home or in their place of residence unless leaving for the specific reasons providing in the Order, such as obtaining medical attention and necessary goods. Gathering of more than ten (10) people have been prohibited and all “non-essential” retail business have been closed. The Order contained a mandatory work-from-home provision as well provisions stating that education, recreational and entertainment business remained close. EO No. 108 invalidates any county or municipal order that in any way conflicts with or invalidates EO NO. 107.
